Tracks for Japanese panels
The secrets of tracks for Japanese panels

When it comes to installing Japanese panels in your home, you will probably have a number of questions, which we will try to answer here.
Every case is different, so each explanation will in turn have its own explanation. However, it is important to follow certain guidelines to ensure that when we fit a Japanese panel it will be just as decorative as it is practical and functional.
Types of openings for Japanese Panels:
1-.Sliding to the left
The panels slide to the left if we are facing the window.
2-.Sliding to the right
The panels slide to the right if we are facing the window.
3-.Sliding to both sides
The panels slide out to both sides.
How to measure the track:
*When we want the panel to go from wall to wall:
This is the easiest solution. We measure from the point where we want the track to start to the point where we want it to end. It is important to bear in mind that when the panels are opened they must be situated outside the door or window frame so that it can be opened properly. In this case it the most recommendable option is to have a track that opens centrally.
*When we do not have space for the panel to leave the door or window free:
In this case, unless it is a sliding door, it is advisable to have a track that opens to the right or left, bearing in mind that the door or window will be obstructed most on the side to which the panels slide.
How to calculate the width of each panel
To calculate the width of each panel there is a very simple formula that can be applied to all Japanese panels:
Divide the width of the track by the number of panels and add 8 cm to the total.
For example, if we have a track measuring 2 m and we want 4 panels, the result will be:
200 cm / 4 = 50 cm. + 8 cm = 58 cm. In this case, the width of our panels will be 58 cm.
