Yes, in order to allow ventilation, the slats are not completely glued together, so it is possible for water to seep in between them.
As it is a product made with natural materials, we recommend gentle cleaning and minimizing the use of chemicals whenever possible, using them only when necessary.
Step 1: Remove dust and dirt that may have settled on the slats of your Venetian blind with a duster or a new microfiber cloth. There is no need to apply any product to the cloth or duster. We recommend cleaning from top to bottom to avoid dirt falling onto the areas you have already cleaned, always working from the inside out. You can do this from the front and back. If the dirt has been removed, the cleaning is complete.
Step 2: For embedded and stubborn dirt, fill a small bucket with a few fingers of water and add a few drops of treated wood or parquet cleaner. Dampen a microfiber cloth or cotton cloth, squeeze out the excess water, and gently wipe the slats following the same order specified in Step 1. From top to bottom and from the inside out. This step should not be repeated frequently, as chemicals can damage the wood with constant use.
And voila, clean Venetian blinds in two steps!
The weight of the wooden blinds is approximately 3kg/m2.
