It is important to note that the width of the blind corresponds to the measurement from the outside of one support to the outside measurement of the other support, and there will always be 5 cm less fabric. For example, if we order a 100 cm blind, the fabric size will be 95 cm.
When it comes to separating our blind from the window, it all depends on the type of support and whether it is fixed to the ceiling or the wall.
1. If we choosethe short wall bracket andstuck drop, it will have a spacing of about 2 cm.
2. If we choosewall bracket short and cascading drop, it will have a spacing of about 7 cm.
3. If we choose the long wall bracket and hanging down, it will have a spacing of about 3.3 cm.
4. If we choose the long wall bracket and cascade drop, it will have a spacing of about 11 cm.
If the blind is installed on the ceiling, it can be spaced as needed so that it does not hit any obstacles when it is lowered.
The recommended option when we have an obstacle is to install it on the ceiling, but if we don't have this possibility, see the types of installation below.
1. Ceiling installation: The blind must have enough space so that it does not touch the handle.
2. Wall mounting: Two brackets are available, one short and one long. The option that most separates the blind from the window will be thelong support and a cascade drop, the fabric will be separated by 11 cm. If the handle protrudes more than this distance, we recommend placing the blind on the ceiling and giving it enough space so that when you lower the blind it does not hit the handle.
Roller blinds are made from synthetic fabrics that repel dust, especially screen and opaque fabrics. That's why we don't need to put them in the washing machine to clean them. Firstly, lower the blind until it is fully unfolded, there is no need to remove it from its supports. If it has a stain, a towel or a simple damp cloth and soap will be enough to clean it. Likewise, dust can also be removed using a vacuum or pressurized air, without scrubbing. Of course, we must not use solvents or abrasive substances that could damage the fabric coating, such as ammonia or bleach. Care should be taken with photographic blinds, as they are more delicate.
