Made-to-measure roller blinds are a decorative and functional alternative for dressing the windows of your home. It is a system that can replace the traditional curtain, though at times, they can complement each other.
There is a wide typology among which roller blinds can be classified based on various factors. For instance, based on the opacity of the fabric, we find screen roller blinds, translucent, or opaque.
Screen roller blinds: The screen fabric is known for letting light through. It is one of the most popular and sold fabrics since, while it allows light, it also insulates from cold and heat, albeit to a lesser degree than the translucent or opaque fabric. This fabric is highly resistant over time and requires minimal maintenance.
Translucent roller blinds: A translucent blind still allows some light but less than the screen blind. Thus, you can enjoy both benefits: natural light in your home and the desired privacy, as it barely allows visibility from the outside. It also provides more protection from the harmful effects of direct sun radiation than the screen. It is important to note that the width of the blind corresponds to the measurement from the outside of one support to the outside measurement of the other support, and there will always be 5 cm less fabric. For example, if we order a 100 cm blind, the fabric size will be 95 cm.

The recommended option when we have an obstacle is to install it on the ceiling, but if we don't have this possibility, see the types of installation below.
1. Ceiling installation: The blind must have enough space so that it does not touch the handle.
2. Wall mounting: Two brackets are available, one short and one long. The option that most separates the blind from the window will be thelong support and a cascade drop, the fabric will be separated by 11 cm. If the handle protrudes more than this distance, we recommend placing the blind on the ceiling and giving it enough space so that when you lower the blind it does not hit the handle.
Roller blinds are made from synthetic fabrics that repel dust, especially screen and opaque fabrics. That's why we don't need to put them in the washing machine to clean them. Firstly, lower the blind until it is fully unfolded, there is no need to remove it from its supports. If it has a stain, a towel or a simple damp cloth and soap will be enough to clean it. Likewise, dust can also be removed using a vacuum or pressurized air, without scrubbing. Of course, we must not use solvents or abrasive substances that could damage the fabric coating, such as ammonia or bleach. Care should be taken with photographic blinds, as they are more delicate.

There are several degrees of aperture:

Transparency medium and low visibility to the outside.
· Opening 5%
Medium transparency and good visibility to the outside.
With screen fabric, the less light there is on the outside, the more visibility there is on the inside, depending on the degree of openness you choose.
This means that during the day you will not be seen from the outside, but during the evening and night there is a certain degree of visibility to the inside.
· Opening 1%: Low visibility to the interior.
· 3% opening: Low visibility to the interior.
· 5% opening: Good visibility for the interior.
· Opening 10%: Great visibility to the interior.
